Yoga Classes in Abu Dhabi

Many people believe Yoga is just about the physical poses and flexibility. We call these Asanas and they are just one of the eight limbs of Yoga, they are used as a tool to help the body and mind to connect to create peace and harmony in ourselves.

Through the practice of Yoga you are able to focus inward, into the sound of your breath, the sensation of the internal universe. Turning within yourself you begin to simply observe and let go of the mind, freeing yourself from attachments and judgments – bringing tranquility within.

The poses/ asanas open many channels of the body so that energy can flow freely. Yoga is a path to creating balance. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility, while learning how to balance our effort and surrender in each pose.

Vinyasa Yoga flows the poses together with sequenced movements, synchronizing the breath with each movement. It is a more active Yoga that helps to build strength and flexibility to all your muscles and joints. This then circulates the blood better throughout your whole body helping you to feel more energized.

Classes are provided by Steph who has been teaching Yoga for over 10 years to various clients in UAE, Switzerland and Australia of all different levels from complete beginners to more advanced practitioners. She is trained in Vinyasa Yoga with ETA college in Dubai and constantly attends workshops to continue studying different forms of Yoga and teaching methods.

Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced Yogi we provide classes designed for your level and requirements in a kind, caring environment with Steph. These can be private 1 to 1, couples, small groups, studio classes, SUP Yoga and corporate groups.

We offer a wide range of Yoga Services:

Private Yoga classes

Private one to one Yoga sessions designed exactly for your requirements.

Also done with couples, or small groups in the privacy of your own home, gym, park or beach.

Private Yoga classes are excellent for beginners as Stephanie takes the time to correct your alignment in each pose – which if done incorrectly in large Yoga classes can cause injury. She tailors the class to your level and focuses on poses to help problem areas in your body.

Private Yoga sessions are also great for people looking to progress further in particular poses they like – ie. Headstands. It’s hard to teach headstands and more complicated poses to large Yoga classes so sometimes it’s difficult for students to progress further.

Group Yoga classes

Fun flowing Vinyasa Yoga classes held in studios throughout Abu Dhabi.

These one hour group classes involve a flowing dynamic Yoga sequence designed to strengthen and tone every muscle in the body. The class always starts with a breathing exercise – Pranayama to help warm up the body and center the mind, then they will flow through a few sun salutations to warm up the whole body before progressing into deeper poses and balancing poses. The second half of the class will be seated on the mat, slowing down the heart rate and holding the poses for longer – deepening the stretch. Stephanie always ends her class with a final few minutes relaxation and guided meditation to help her students relax and calm their minds and body before they carry on with their day.

Yoga on the Stand Up Paddleboard, floating on the water.

Yoga on the Stand up Paddle board is a little different to normal yoga classes. You will paddle out with Stephanie to find a calm and relaxing spot on the water to anchor the boards. The poses are held a little longer to help with gaining balance on the boards and ends with a relaxing final meditation while you are floating with the waves.
