Luxury staycation at Rosewood hotel, Abu Dhabi

We decided to celebrate Steph’s birthday this year by having a special staycation treat in one of Abu Dhabi’s top luxury hotel Rosewood, Maryah Island - since we were unable to travel because of the Corona virus.

Nestled in the heart of the luxurious financial district of Maryah island, it has the cities top restaurants and best luxury shopping in Galleria Mall. We spent the evening catching the sunset on their beautiful pool terrace and then headed down to their cool hidden bar - Dragons tooth to try their famous signature cocktails and eat the best fine dining style Chinese food for dinner at Dai Pai Dong.

Their beautiful spacious rooms are fully equipped with yummy treats, automated lights, curtains and TV from an iPad, huge bathrooms with Roberto Cavalli toiletries and they even prepared a fruit bowl for us to make our own smoothies!

The hotel has a beautiful warm, contemporary vibe with gorgeous luxury finishings in the rooms. We stayed in the spacious executive one bedroom suite with a huge panoramic view of the Abu Dhabi city skyline. With a tranquil atmosphere the rooms are elegantly accessorised with refined art, books and accessories to deliver a homelike environment.
The Rosewood team really took extra special care of us and for Steph’s birthday they even decorated the bed with balloons, made a delicious birthday cake, gifted a bottle of red wine, set up fruit and a blender for a morning fresh smoothie and even put Yoga mats in the room so she could practice her morning Yoga!

Bubbles & Breakfast at La Cava

The next morning we were treated to a special indulgent breakfast at La Cava with Spanish sparkling wine and a huge full English breakfast. Set in their Spanish wine cellar styled restaurant you definitely don’t feel like you’re in Abu Dhabi and that it’s morning time! Serving the best, fresh pork it was a delicious special breakfast that filled us up for the rest of the day!
